Hi,
I just watched your youtube,
Retweeted on twitter about it,
and posted a link on Facebook.
You are doing a great service for the English speaking community, and for all of people who are affected by the earthquake.
On behalf of us that want to help, but has to sit tight until the situation allows us to do so, thank you.

Hi – just wondering if you’ve heard of any places in Tokyo where I can donate warm clothes, blankets, food, etc.
Thanks for everything you’re doing!

I just saw NHK program and found what you have been doing:telling oversea media to stop hysteria. Yes, they are making trouble bigger at this moment and not helping Japan to revive. Because of their incorrect information spread around, non-Japanese-speaking foreign residents were terrified beyond necessity, and make people outside of Japan backed away as much as possible. All the foreign-related conventions, sports events and etc. have been cancelled even if the venue was far away from the afflicted districts. Of course, we, Japanese, are very grateful for the enormous monetary donation, aid supplies and prayers, but to help Japan to gain its power to overcome this disaster is to keep scheduled activities going as much as possible. Your alert to the foreign media and the report of “what is really happening in Japan” is what Japan desperately needed. I hope your voice will reach many people around the world who really want to know the facts. Please show up on TV both domestic and outside of Japan as it is probably the most effective means to broaden your message. Millions of thanks!

Hi, my name is Katoh. I’m in Yamagata.
Last week I watched news about your support action on NHK TV. Your activities are great and impressed us!!
I often sends some informations about safety of farm products made in Fukushima to my friends and their friends by facebook. These are safe!
I think we must evaluate and act by “accurate informations”, so I’ll contitue to send real messages like your activity.
Thank you!

Daniel, I wish to thank you for your inspiration to keep acting in the best interests of Japan’s recovery – obviously there’s more than just the natural disasters but also a huge econmic impact that’s being felt by the world esp Japan, and you’re doing the right thing to keep making people aware that the Hysteria needs to stop!!
I have a friend who wants to start a pen pal campaign for the kids in the affected area, she’s an assistant for 2nd grade classes – if there are some people you can connect me with, I’d like to see if there would be some kids in the areas you are going who want to start being pen pals with students in the US. It’s one way to connect people to what’s going on and I’m sure this would be a nice project for the kids to work on since they are stuck inside so much lately. Even if they lost their friends, we can help them make new ones! I can also connect middle school kids to students in India as well, since I was just there (during the earthquake)!
Please let me know what you think of this idea.
Thank you for everything you’re doing! You are making a big difference for those if us living in Japan who don’t have a good grasp on Japanese.

Daniel, thank you for your hard work. I live in Kobe and Japan has been my home for the past 20 years. After the quake I realized quickly that the reaction I was getting from friends and family abroad wasn’t just their ignorance of the geographical distance from Tohoku. I feel the same frustation as you with the foreign media and their portrayal of this disaster. Information is easier to disperse in this age but somehow misinformation seems to fly faster and farther, especially when people are motivated by fear.
Japan has been and will continue to be my home, come what may. Let’s concentrate on what we can do for the people in Tohoku and for Japan. Your efforts are certainly appreciated by the Japanese and by foreigners like me who love this country and its people. Thank you for being a voice of calm and helping to spread accurate information.
Still trying to figure out how I can help from down here in Kobe. Any information on that would be appreciated!
